Nursery grants

Currently every 3 and 4-year -old child (from the term after their 3rd birthday) is entitled to 15 hours per week of nursery education free-of-charge.

These 15 hours have certain restrictions:

  • They must be taken over a minimum of 3 days
  • A minimum of 2.5 hours must be taken each day
  • The hours can be taken at no more than 2 nurseries
  • They must be taken between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm
  • The maximum that can be claimed over 2 days is 12.5 hours

Please refer to www.sheffield.gov.uk for further guidance or see the parents’ notice board.

To take advantage of free entitlement when your child is eligible all you have to do is complete the nursery contract and parent/setting agreement, and then we will make the claim on your behalf.

Working parents may be eligible for an extra 15 hours funding from September 2017.  Visit the Childcare Choices website for more information.

Nursery Charges

If your child is not grant eligible, or if you are booking more than 15 hours, we charge per hour NOT SESSIONAL, between the hours of 7.30am and 6.00pm and you can book anything from one hour to the full day. Please bear in mind that you are only entitled to the 15 hours of nursery education during the term time, and if you need childcare during the holidays, this will be charged for.

You will be invoiced monthly in advance, which must be paid prior to your child attending. We accept cheques and childcare vouchers, and if you wish to pay by BACs please speak to a member of the management team.

Christmas and New Year

Please note: we are not open for the week between Christmas and New Year and therefore cannot offer childcare for that period.

Emergency childcare

If for any reason you should need emergency childcare, please contact us. We will always take extra children if places are available.
