At nursery the children were provided with resources to create traditional Chinese decorations.  Chinese lanterns were made linking to the Chinese lantern festival along with Chinese fans, Chinese New Year cards and dragon masks.  The colour red usedin these resources is seen as a lucky colour.

The children sampled Chinese food through the week and were given fortune cookies to take home and red envelopes containing money, a Chinese tradition to wish you health and prosperity into the New Year.
